I want to make it as easy as possible for you to get a quality speaker for your event. To start the conversation and check my availability, send me an email at erin [at] erinacton [dot] com.
What You Can Expect
I love to have get the audience participating in the talks. I have found this helps them to be more engaged in the content and to learn more from what I share.
I aim to bring humour, real-life stories, levity and research-based processes to my presentations.
I’m direct and to the point. I’m good at sticking to time schedules. And, I am good at adjusting on the fly. If you had another speaker cancel, I can quickly adjust my talk to make my presentation longer. If you’re crunched for time, I can shrink the talk to fit your time frame, while still providing great value for your audience.
A Little Bit About Me
I work with leaders and entrepreneurs who want to get off the hamster wheel so they can become stronger leaders and more successful entrepreneurs. I’ve been in the field of burnout and life purpose for four years. I’m passionate about this because I struggled with burnout myself while leading the communications for a $50M company. As a result, I have developed systems built on the insight I learned. I now feel great. I have an amazing, meaningful business and am spending quality, fulfilling time with my friends and family. It would be my honour to share my processes to help your audience create balance, live with purpose, and love their lives.

What Others Are Saying
“Excellent presentation from Erin. I learned a lot about overwhelm and it was interesting to see the things we look over when we’re in the midst of it all, slogging through. Great lively discussion and sharing from everyone around the table.”
“Erin provided a presentation entitled “Stop Overwhelm and Restore Calm – Proven Strategies to Find Stability when Everything Feels Out of Control” to 30 professional women in the Facilities and Operations Portfolio at the University of Alberta.
Erin was very professional, knowledgeable and relatable to the group. She was able to engage the group by her use of humour and by involving the group in discussion.
Since the training, I have used Erin’s Be Here Now Strategy numerous times to help me become present during times of high stress, so that I can focus on my tasks and increase my productivity.
Overall Erin was a very confident, effective presenter and provided valuable information and strategies that the group was able to take away and apply to their day-to-day work.
It was a pleasure to work with Erin!”

“Erin was fantastic!”
“Erin Acton stood apart from other speakers that have presented to my group. She had a warm and inviting presence, facilitated the conversation with ease and shared valuable takeaways through her motivational and encouraging story. I’d love to have her back again!”
—Annie Poirier, Making Changes 101 MeetUp Host
“Erin Acton’s talk on “Burnout to Balance” at our recent Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce event celebrating Women in Business for International Women’s Day with Afternoon Tea at Sooke Harbour House really resonated with me. As a woman who juggles many different roles—business owner, mom, wife and active volunteer—there were several times when she spoke that I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s me!’ I love that she shared both her personal experience and practical tools that we can use in our own lives to get more balance. We also received feedback from many of our guests with similar sentiments. I highly recommend Erin as a guest speaker!”
—Karen C. Mason, Director, Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce, Event Organizer
“Thank you Dave for bringing Erin in for this event! She not only has the life experience but the educational tools to assist in stopping overwhelm in its tracks! I’ve practiced her technique and guess what? It does work!”
“At a time when we are all struggling with how to ‘do more with less’, Erin was able to highlight key signs of overwhelm and provide practical and useful advice on how to prevent and/or overcome it. As the founder of ‘Women Leading in the Public Service’, I was pleased to have had many of my colleagues let me know how much they appreciated Erin’s insight. As a very busy professional myself, I found the advice that she provided regarding making key decisions in the midst of overwhelm (and how to ensure they are made clearly and decisively) extremely useful. Erin really sets herself apart as a speaker by ensuring that she not only provides the audience with the research and overview of the issue, but gives real, tangible, realistic methods to overcome it and move forward successfully. I look forward to hearing more of the other work and research that Erin undertakes, and know that my members do, too.”
